Technology and I just don't mesh well. I have kind of a love/hate admiration for it....I see all the benefits of using it, think people make it look so easy and want to be able to get there myself, but I am that person who is about two laps behind everyone else in the tech race. This blog began because it was a mandatory assignment for one of my graduate classes (props to the professor for forcing me out of my comfort zone) and was a place to analyze literacy.
Since the class ended I have been going back and forth with the big question - to delete or not to delete? In an effort broaden my tech use and get my random thoughts out I have decided to try to continue this blog....just in a different way. From here on out (if you choose to read on) you will be brought into the crazy place of random thoughts, actions and stories that is my life. Me, just being me.
You know when you walk into a classroom (or see one on tv) and everything color coordinates, there are labeled bins all over the place, cute sayings to title bulletin boards, and anything else artsy you can think of? Yeah, that's not me. Flat surfaces are my enemy. I do not go crazy for Post-Its. I don't have "teacher handwriting." I don't really do cute so well. I don't do tears. I don't do whining.
What do you do, you ask? Well, I do fun. I do sarcasm. I do clear cut. And most of all, I do honest. I honestly love teaching, I love interacting with kids and I honestly love that they give me so much to laugh about and at.
